To celebrate our 50th Anniversary, we are introducing a Classic Car Road Trip to run alongside our annual Bike Ride, Walk & Drive event. For this event we are deeming a classic car as more than 15 years old.
Set off from one of three historic country houses and then motor your way along Norfolk’s country roads, drop in on churches to find the answers in pursuit of victory in the Classic Car fiendish quiz.
Who knows what you will learn about Norfolk’s greatest collection of medieval churches on your way before meeting up at for afternoon tea, car admiration, and prize giving at Elsing Hall, NR20 3EA.

A magnificent Grade I listed, Jacobean country house, originally built in 1612 for Sir Edward Paston standing in a 4000-acre estate.
It was substantially remodelled and enlarged in 1805 under the guidance of the renowned landscape designer Humphry Repton.

Houghton Hall, PE31 6TY
Built in the 1720s for Sir Robert Walpole, Britain’s First Prime Minister, Houghton Hall is one of the finest Palladian houses in England. The Hall is surrounded by extensive parkland and is renowned for its iconic white fallow deer.

Kirstead Hall, NR15 1ER
A magnificent Grade I Tudor manor begun in 1540, renowned for its mellow red brickwork, distinctive blue diaper decoration and centuries of family history. This remarkable house has witnessed generations of fascinating stories, from connections to Fletcher Christian and Agatha Christie to distinguished military figures of the two world wars.
Entry Fee £50 Your entry fee directly supports essential repairs to churches and chapels across Norfolk.
Once your application has been received and registered, we will send you an information pack containing full details for the day. Additionally, if you would like to collect sponsorship for your trip to benefit a particular church, you will receive a Sponsorship form in your pack, or you can download one here.
Competitions: As well as a bottle of bubbly for the winning Quiz team, there will be prizes for the best photograph of the day and one for the oldest participating car. These will be judged at Elsing Hall on the day.
