Welcome to the Secret Artist Exhibition and Auction, created to celebrate the Norfolk Churches Trust’s 50th Anniversary. Artists from across Norfolk and beyond have generously donated original artworks to help raise funds for the conservation of Norfolk’s historic churches.
See our gallery for the works submitted to date, there will be more to follow, so please do revisit.
Follow this link to see the list of artists. Those marked with an asterisk contain biographies and or website information, just click on the name.
The pieces, A5 (21 x 14.8cm)* in size, cover a variety of mediums and subjects with the artists remaining anonymous until the auction closes. So the challenge will be to link the artwork with the artist! You could be taking home a creation by a professional artist, a gifted amateur, a household name, or an emerging talent.
All the artworks will be on view at the Red Dot Gallery, Holt, from 12–19 September.
Online bidding will open on Saturday 12th September. Just click on your image of choice to be taken directly to the auction site.
The auction will conclude at a special evening event in the Weston Room at Norwich Cathedral on Thursday 22 October, hosted by artist, designer, writer and long-term friend of the Trust Matthew Rice. Book your ticket here.
We hope you enjoy exploring the gallery below and whoever your Secret Artist turns out be, know that the purchase of your unique piece of art will support Norfolk’s remarkable church heritage.
*The following images are larger than A5 – 59, 63, 64 and 65. No 42 is smaller measuring 6.5cm x 5.5cm but in a larger mount which is 18 x 20cm.
