We did it! YOU did it! THANK YOU to everyone who took part on Saturday in the 2026 Bike Ride, Walk & Drive.
We hope you had a wonderful day enjoying churches and connecting with others committed to a common cause.
It will be a while before we can tell you how many people took part, how many churches were visited, and of course how much funding has been raised. What we do know is that bikers and walkers sported stickers all over the county and a penny farthing was spied in North Norfolk! Did you see any of the classic cars who took part in the Classic Car Road Trip for Norfolk Churches Trust on the same day?

We hope you took photos. Please send up to five of your favourite pics to enter the photo competition. They will be published on the website; you may win a £50 prize and see them featured in the EDP. Check on the categories and details HERE and submit photos as attachments to media@norfolkchurchestrust.org.uk
There is still plenty of time to fundraise by asking friends and family to share your passion for Norfolk churches and chapels. Last year most of my friends only responded after the event, when I sent photos from the churches I visited. It is not too late to create a fundraising story on JustGiving HERE. You can also use the sponsorship form to record contributions from those who prefer to give to you directly. If you need a sponsorship form and the details for how to forward the money, click HERE.
To spur you on in your fearless fundraising, there are two other competitions. An extra £1,000 for the church that is most improved in its fundraising for the Bike Ride, Walk & Drive, and the Lord Lieutenant’s Certificate for the individual who secures the most sponsorship.
Thank you again for walking, driving, riding, volunteering, and/or taking part in any other way supporting the Norfolk Churches Trust’s mission to keep the county’s wonderful church heritage open for all to enjoy.
Hilary on behalf of the 2026 Bike Ride, Walk & Drive team.
