Many people who drive around the county on a regular basis will have been seeing road signs popping up recently to promote the Bike Ride, Walk & Drive fundraising event on Saturday 12th September.
This year, you may also have spotted our new eye catching blue banners on church railings in Norwich and around our county towns.
We are very happy to be working with churchwardens, like Rosie Foottit at St. Michael’s church in Reepham, who have given us their enthusiastic support to help us put the banners up.
We are the Trust are tremendously grateful to all the churchwardens and volunteers who support this annual event. Those who open the churches, who man (or woman) them on the day, providing a warm welcome and often much needed refreshments. The Bike Ride, Walk & Drive would not be as successful as it is without their help, so a big thank you.
And remember, if you take part, you can select which church you would like half of the funds you raise to be donated to. The remainder goes towards funding grants for repair work on churches throughout Norfolk. It’s a great way to support the amazing historic heritage we have in each and every church in the county, and to help preserve them for future generations to enjoy.
