The momentum is building for next Saturday’s 2026 Bike Ride, Walk & Drive for the Norfolk Churches Trust!
- Elaine Burbidge has already planned her bus route for the day
- Frances Dawson has met 94% of her fundraising target with donations from 25 people!
- Robert Taylor has been training for months in West Norfolk with his co-rider Michael who will be piloting from the front because Robert is registered blind. *
- Debbie Patel, new to the event last year, will be riding again with her friend Joan
What will you be doing? Volunteering in a church? Visiting churches on foot, on wheels, or on horseback? Cheering others in person or in spirit? Sponsoring a friend? Whatever your connection to the Norfolk Churches Trust, we hope you will be supporting the big fundraising event next Saturday 12th September.
You can approach the day your own way, next Saturday is all about visiting and enjoying our amazing churches, perhaps some you have never been to before. The day is about raising money for roofs, gutters, windows etc. to keep places of worship in good repair and open for communities. It is about sharing your passion and engaging others. Above all, Saturday 12th September is a great day out!
So, gather your friends, lace up the walking boots, or pump up the tyres, pack a picnic, and do not forget to tell everyone about it! To spread the word and raise money you can use a sponsorship form HERE or tell your story on JustGiving HERE.
Thank you for supporting the Norfolk Churches Trust. Let us join hands next Saturday to raise £100,000… £125,000… to keep churches and chapels open for the benefit of all. Click HERE For all the information you need to take part.
Hilary, on behalf of the 2026 Bike Ride, Walk & Drive team.

*You may have read Robert’s story in the August newsletter. Robert and Michael plan to ride 100 km from King’s Lynn to Little Massingham. Robert has been flexing his fundraising muscles too and, as we go to press, he has received sponsorship from 40 supporters and rising! You can read an update on his planned route here.
