New book on Burnham Norton Friary

A new book Burnham Norton Friary: Perspectives on the Carmelites in Norfolk, published in December 2019, draws together recent research on the Friary, covering aspects of archaeology, landscape, history, geography, architectural history and medieval history. The idea for the book developed from the successful workshops brought together during Norfolk Archaeological Trust’s Lottery-funded ‘Imagined Land’ project in 2018 – most of the speakers from those events have contributed to the new publication. Published by Oldakre Press, and edited by Brendan Chester-Kadwell, who organised the original workshops, Burnham Norton Friary: Perspectives on the Carmelites in Norfolk will help to set this quiet site in a corner of Norfolk in its wider context and deepen our understanding of its significance locally and nationally.

The publisher is offering this at a 20% reduction on the RRP. The cost is now £12 per copy plus £2.40 postage, from now until the end of July 2020. Information on how to order a copy is available here
