Calling children from Norfolk Primary Schools!
The Norfolk Churches Trust has announced that the closing date for its Norfolk Primary Schools Church Art Competition has now been extended to 8th May, giving more schools the opportunity to participate.
Rosabelle Batt, Chairman of the Norfolk Churches Trust, said:
“We have already received some wonderfully imaginative and beautifully drawn entries from children across Norfolk, and it has been a joy to see how creatively they have captured their
local churches. We know that many schools are facing increasing pressure on their art budgets, so we hope this competition will not only give children the chance to explore their creativity, but also provide schools with the opportunity to win valuable art materials.

To mark our 50th anniversary year the Norfolk Churches Trust is excited to announce the 2026 School Art Competition.
We aim to inspire primary age children to create a drawing or painting of their local church. This is an opportunity for the children to express their creativity, while discovering the rich heritage of Norfolk churches.
The artwork needs to include all or part of a church, this can be the exterior, interior, or even some small detail, perhaps a stained-glass window or a gargoyle. Entries to be no larger than A4, and all mediums with the exception of photography can be included, only one entry per child.
