Dunton was the final church of 2025 to get the Coffee, Clean & Chat treatment.

A group of willing volunteers, (and a dog) swept, dusted, polished, and washed floors, monuments, benches, and ledger stones, to leave the interior spruced up and ready for the Carol Service by torchlight taking place there on Wednesday 17th December at 7pm. The smell of beeswax filled the air and the cobwebs were banished.
There was activity in the churchyard too which was tidied up ready for the winter by a local couple who take care of this space for us, for which we are very grateful.

St Peter’s has been in the care of the Norfolk Churches Trust since 1978, and sits in a peaceful churchyard, a lovely spot to see snowdrops in the spring.
Inside, a modern rood loft sits across the chancel. There is some lovely 19th century stained glass in the church, including some gorgeous peacocks.

If you are in the area, do pop in, the church is open during daylight hours.

We will be visiting the rest of the churches in our care during 2026, we will update you with details in the New Year. Thank you to those who have come along to help us and we look forward to meeting more of you next year.
