Bike Ride, Walk & Drive 2025 first ‘running total!’

It has been almost three weeks since the Bike Ride, Walk & Drive event took place and we bring you our first total, £23,425.50 has been received so far. Thank you to those who have forwarded their sponsorship money, we look forward to updating you with further totals over the coming weeks.

Our ‘running’ total is accompanied by Ray and Wendy who ran for 14.8 miles taking in ten churches along the Norfolk coast as they did so. With a combined age of 153, they were clocking 12-minute miles, which we find impressive.

Beginning in Blakeney, St Nicholas they ran to Cley, St Margaret, then Wiveton, St Mary, Glandford, St Martin and then the longish bit to Langham, St Andrew & St Mary. Following Langham came Cockthorpe, All Saints and then a detour to Stiffkey, St John the Baptist as earlier big tides had left the coastal path in knee deep in water.

Doubling back, they ran up the man runway at Langham, sadly they did not make take-off speed but did ultimately find the trackway to Morston Long Lane, at the end of which they visited Morston, All Saints church.

On the last leg back to Blakeney they managed to get involved with the Round Norfolk Relay before visiting the Blakeney Methodist Church and finishing at Blakeney St Peter’s RC in Back Lane.

Thank you, Ray and Wendy, for your marvellous efforts.

They thank all their friends, relatives, and members of Blakeney Fitness for their support.
