Louisa Jones *
Louisa Jones is a Norfolk-based printmaker. She graduated in Illustration in 2006 from Camberwell College of Arts and her work is largely drawing based. Since graduating she has created bespoke illustrations for various publications including Vogue, Tatler, The Spectator, Time Out, Elle and ES Magazine, amongst others. She was commissioned by Paul Smith to design t-shirts and more recently worked with Prescott & Conran on work for the Albion Clerkenwell and Boundary Hotel in Shoreditch.
She discovered etching at Princes Drawing School and was invited to do a residency at East London Printmakers. Some of her ELP work is in the collection of the V&A.
Since moving back to Norfolk in 2018, Louisa has discovered Norwich Printmaking Hub which provides access to a range of traditional printmaking processes and has spent the past two years developing her practice, where she has refined her skills and discovered a passion for different methods of printmaking — drypoint, letterpress, monoprint and screenprinting.
