A warm welcome at Stody, and not just the weather!

A team of willing volunteers and cake makers from the Trust were on site at Stody Lodge Gardens last Thursday afternoon, 28th May. The gingham altars were laden with delicious home-baked cakes and treats, served with a refreshing cup of tea. Just the thing on such a warm day.

Every spring, Stody Lodge opens its 14-acres of colourful rhododendrons, deep herbaceous borders, woodland walks, and the renowned 4-acre Azalea Water Gardens.  Local charities are invited to provide homemade teas to visitors enjoying these spectacular gardens, from which the charity takes all the proceeds.

Therefore, we are very pleased to announce that an incredible £1,000 was raised on the day for the Trust which will go towards grant funding.

Those crisp Norfolk Churches Trust aprons were just the accessory for the day, so why not buy one for yourself. Priced at £12 including postage, just the thing for making afternoon tea and you will be supporting the Trust too.

All that remains is to say a very big thank you to everyone who made those enticing cakes, to those who served them on the day, including our half-term helpers, and of course to those of you who popped by to say hello.
