The last Saturday of spring delivered a beautiful evening at St Mary Magdalene, Warham with a concert by the internationally acclaimed Brook Street Band and award winning tenor David de Winter.

Volunteers had cleaned and decorated the church with fragrant foliage and the early evening sunlight shone through the stained glass windows leaving a dappled light in the aisle . This, along with the 18th century box pews created just the atmosphere to accompany the era of the music being played.
The repertoire which included works by Handel and Telemann, was performed by the Brook Street Band comprising; Rachel Harris on violin, Tatty Theo on cello, and Carolyn Gibley on harpsichord, accompanied by tenor David de Winter.

Following the concert our guests were treated to a wonderful reception with champagne and canapes in the garden of The Rectory, Warham with grateful thanks to Carlos Garcia and Michael Newman for being such wonderful hosts.
Warham, St Mary Magdalene is the final resting place of Norfolk Trust founder, Billa Harrod, so it seemed fitting on this spring evening to place flowers in her memory.
Thank you to all who attended we hope you enjoyed your evening.
