The Exhibition of Icons at St Peter’s Corpusty

Friday 24th June was the preview evening of the ‘Exhibition of Icons’ at St Peter’s Church, Corpusty.

It was lovely to see so many turn up on a warm evening to view the artworks inside the church and listen to a talk by one of the contributing artists, Judith James

This free exhibition continues until Saturday 1st July, open each day from 10.00am to 4.00pm

Also, outside the church visitors can follow a trail through the churchyard and view the ‘Art and Memory’ collection of carved and lettered stones,  which illustrate the history of memorials and letter cutting.  Corpusty is one of only seven sites in the UK displaying such a collection of carved memorials.

It is wonderful to see the church which was the impetus for the founding of the Norfolk Churches Trust in 1976, becoming an exhibition space and a venue for the arts.
