Key fund-raising events fall victim to on-going Covid-19 crisis

Key fund-raising events for the Norfolk Churches Trust have inevitably fallen victim to the on-going Covid-19 crisis.

The Stately Car Boot Sale will be postponed to May 2021, said trustee and organiser Patrick Lines. There has been enthusiastic support for the event in late May at Sennowe Park, Guist, near Fakenham. It is hoped that the strong bookings will transfer to next year’s big event.

Several other popular events including the proposed tour of the Stanta military training area in April have also been scrapped.

However, the NCT hopes that the annual Norfolk Bike Ride in September may be spared.

The latest quarterly NCT Advisory Council meeting, which was scheduled this month, was cancelled as a precaution on the instructions of the chairman, Peter Sheppard.
