The Master Masons: The Men who built the Cathedrals

Imogen Corrigan MPhil.

How on earth did ordinary people in medieval times create such soaring wonders as our cathedrals? And why? Using her deep love and knowledge of art and history, Imogen Corrigan sets out to take us behind the scenes and introduce us to the men who “created heaven on earth out of the cacophony of thousands of chisels and hammers.”

Imogen spent nearly twenty years in the army, then pursued a life-long interest by studying for a degree in medieval history at the University of Kent. Graduating with a First, she followed on with an MPhil from Birmingham University. She is much in demand to run study tours at home and abroad. We look forward to an enlightening and inspiring talk from a first-class communicator, who is a Freeman of the Company of Communicators in the City of London.
