Representing April and found in one of the south windows of St George’s Tombland, Norwich, is the medieval glass roundel pictured below.

It is part of a series called Labours of the Months; a prominent theme explored in medieval stained glass. The representations of the other months are contained in The Burrell Collection in Scotland.
The image depicts a man rushing in from a rain shower, let us hope that this month does not deliver too many of those…
April effectively marks the beginning of ‘event season’ for the Trust, with a typically busy schedule of talks, tours and unique gatherings planned – some of which are exclusive to our members.
Whether you want to unearth a bargain at the Stately Car Boot, wander around a hidden horticultural gem in the heart of Norwich, or learn more about Norfolk’s array of church towers from expert John Vigar, we have a programme of events you will love.
Last chance!
The Stately Car Boot is only a matter of weeks away, and you have until 9am on Wednesday 23 April to apply for a pitch or book your place in the VIP Tent.

We hope to see you soon at one of our events!
