Alan Wordie is the grandson of Sir James Wordie, chief scientist and geologist on the Endurance expedition of 1914 – 1916

Thursday 28th November at 7.30pm

 Drawing on his grandfather’s diaries and recollections, Alan throws a personal and fascinating light on Shackleton’s iconic expedition and the extraordinary rescue of the whole crew following 18 months stranded on Antarctic ice.
